Two Injured in Bellevue Shooting
An early morning shooting in Bellevue sparked a high-speed chase and a mysterious hospital drop-off.

BELLEVUE, TN — Two people were injured in a shooting in Bellevue early Thursday, kicking off a high-speed chase and a bizarre hospital drop-off, and leaving police searching for answers.
Shortly after 3 a.m., police received a report of shots fired at the Bellevue Heights Apartments and when they arrived, saw a white vehicle peeling out of the parking lot. A man on the scene was down with gunshot wounds and witnesses said the vehicle speeding away was the suspect car.
Police gave chase down Old Hickory Boulevard and eventually to Interstate 40, but the police broke off the chase because of the high rate of speed. The victim on the scene was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Later, a vehicle matching the description of the car from the chase was seen at St. Thomas West Hospital, where a man was dropped off with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the face. It is unknown if that man was the shooter or another victim and the white car left before officers arrived.
West Precinct detectives are investigating.
