Two People Killed In Separate Saturday Morning Collisions In Nashville
One of the victims has been identified as Destinie Reed, 24, of Ashland City.

Two persons were killed early today in separate vehicle collisions, one on Briley Parkway in the Hermitage Precinct, the other on I-24 west at Haywood Lane.

In the 1:30 a.m. Briley Parkway crash, a Nissan Versa traveling the wrong way in the northbound lanes rounded a curve and crashed head-on with a GMC Acadia. The driver of the Versa, Destinie Reed, 24, of Ashland City, died. She was not wearing a seatbelt. The three occupants of the Acadia were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. They were wearing seatbelts.
In the 1:40 a.m. I-24 fatal collision, a pedestrian standing in the right travel lane was struck and killed by a Lexus sedan as the driver of the Lexus, Terry Jones, 38, of Murfreesboro, merged onto the exit ramp for Haywood Lane. The deceased is a man of Hispanic descent who carried no identification. Witnesses reported seeing him standing in the roadway with his back to traffic and his head looking up prior to being struck.
