Two-Vehicle Collision Early Saturday On I-40 Claims Life Of Nashville Woman
The victim has been identified as Morgan Graves, 26.

The woman killed in Saturday’s 1:30 a.m. two-vehicle collision on I-40 East near the airport exit, which also involved a white pickup truck whose driver left the scene, is identified as Morgan Graves, 26, of Nashville.

The driver of a Ford Edge, Rachel Curl, 23, was traveling east on I-40 in slowing traffic when she stated that she struck the rear of a white pickup truck, disabling her SUV. She called 911 and while she was on the phone, the driver of a Honda Civic, Lindsay Russell, 30, collided with the rear of the Ford Edge. Graves was the front seat passenger in the Honda Civic. The driver of the pickup truck left the scene.
Curl and Russell, who were both wearing their seatbelts, were transported to separate hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Graves, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where she died.

There was no evidence of impairment on the part of Curl. The investigation continues.
