Two-Vehicle Collision On Harding Pike Claims Elderly Nashville Couple

All involved were wearing their seatbelts.

A two-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Harding Pike and Vaughns Gap Road claimed the lives of Joseph Holloran, 91, and his wife/front seat passenger Mary Holloran, 89.

The preliminary investigation shows that the driver of a Nissan Titan pickup, Suzette Pink, 55, was traveling east on Harding Pike through the intersection when Joseph Holloran, who was driving a Nissan Frontier pickup, attempted to turn left in front of the Titan. Pink was unable to avoid the collision. The Hollorans were both transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where they died. Pink was treated for non-life threatening injuries. All involved were wearing their seatbelts.

The preliminary contributing factor to this fatal crash appears to be failure to yield the right of way on the part of Holloran.
