Undercover Nashville Detectives Charged 50 People Last Week

Undercover detectives assigned to the [Metropolitan Nashville Police Department's] eight precincts charged 50 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Lincoln Street, Bell Road, Leo Lane, and Largo Drive. Detectives seized 1.2 grams of heroin, and 5.5 grams of marijuana.

West Precinct detectives charged 2 persons as the result of investigations on Wells Drive, Louisiana Avenue, White Bridge Road, and Myatt Drive. Detectives seized 28 grams of cocaine, eight grams of heroin, seven grams of marijuana, three pills, and $2,139 cash.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 11 persons as the result of investigations on Smith Springs Road, Lafayette Street, Bell Road, Murfreesboro Pike, and Fessler’s Lane. Detectives seized three grams of heroin, one gram of cocaine, 50 grams of marijuana, and 15 Pills.

North Precinct detectives charged 7 persons as the result of investigations on Brick Church Pike, Trinity Lane, Jefferson Street, and 16th Avenue North. Detectives seized 15 ounces of heroin, 25 grams of cocaine, seven pills, and three guns.

Madison Precinct detectives charged 7 persons as the result of investigations on Young’s Lane, Hospital Drive, Tuckahoe Drive, Anderson Lane, and Rivergate Parkway. Detectives seized 28 grams of cocaine, 100 grams of marijuana, 1.5 grams of heroin, and two grams of methamphetamine.

East Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, Gallatin Pike, and Joyce Lane. Detectives seized .7 gram of heroin, 66 grams of marijuana, two grams of cocaine, and three guns.

Central Precinct detectives charged 3 persons as the result of investigations on 2nd Avenue South and Lafayette Street. Detectives seized five grams of marijuana and one handgun.

Detectives from the Midtown Hills Precinct were on special assignment this week related to crime hotspots.

Citizens suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
