Nashville Event Includes Vertical Mile, Celebrities & Block Party
Fight For Air Climb at 505 set for November 2

Today, the American Lung Association in Tennessee announced that registration is open for the Fight For Air Climb at the 505, which is set for Saturday, November 2. This year, the event will include a stair climb up one of the tallest building in Tennessee, local celebrities and concludes with a block party on Church Street.
The Fight For Air Climb invites individuals, families, groups of friends, corporate teams and first responders to race up the stairs of one of the tallest building in Nashville, the 505 Building (45 floors, 862 steps), to raise awareness and money to fight lung disease. The event also includes an option for climbers to tackle the Vertical Mile, which is a total of 10 times up and 10 times down the 505 building.
“This year, we are excited to welcome Chuck Wicks, country music artist and radio personality for America’s Morning Show on Nash FM, as our Fight For Air Climb Ambassador. Additionally, we are honored to have Shawn Parr, host of NASH Nights Live, as our master of ceremonies for the event,” said Gail Frost, executive director for the Lung Association in Tennessee. “We hope that these incredible additions to our event will encourage the whole community to come out in support of something that impacts us all – clean air and healthy lungs.”
