Update: Antwan Churchwell Wanted For Murder In The Fatal Shooting Of Mayte Aguirre

Nashville homicide detectives allege Churchwell shot Aguirre from the back seat of a car as she was riding in the front passenger seat.

Homicide detectives this afternoon swore out an arrest warrant charging Antwan Churchwell, 28, with Monday’s murder of Mayte Aguirre, 24, inside a car on Glenrose Avenue.

The investigation, being led by Detective Russ Thompson, shows that Churchwell fatally shot Aguirre from the back seat as she was riding in the front passenger seat. Aguirre was dropped off at Southern Hills Medical Center at 2:10 a.m. Monday by Churchwell and another man.

Anyone seeing Churchwell or knowing his whereabouts is asked to immediately call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
