Update: Second Victim ID'd In Apparent Double Murder

Two people who had been shot to death were discovered in a home Sunday south of downtown Nashville.

UPDATE — The Metro Nashville police on Sunday released the name of the second victim in a fatal double shooting at a townhome near downtown. They identified the male victim in the Hillside Avenue residence as Osmani Munongerwa, 20.

He was found shot to death in an upstairs area of the residence, the police said. His mother, Isha Musa, 37, was found shot to death on the lower level.

Residents in the area told the police they heard noises between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday that could have been gunshots, the Tennessean reported.

The police said the investigation of the apparent double murder is continuing.

The relative called police, who upon arrival at the Hillside Avenue home, found a man dead at the top of the stairs.

Detectives said it appears to be a double murder.

The woman was identified as Isha Musa. The identity of the man has not been confirmed.
