Wig Wearer Shoots Clerk In North Nashville Attempted Robbery

A man wearing a wig shot the clerk at a Ewing Drive convenience store and ran into the woods.

NASHVILLE, TN — A wig-wearing would-be robber shot a clerk at a North Nashville convenience store Sunday afternoon.

A witness said a a man in a wig, black shirt and white pants entered the Little Barn Market Discount Tobacco And Beer on the corner of Brick Church Pike and Ewing Street. After going to the beer coolers, he turned around, walked toward the clerk holding a gun wrapped in a rag, shooting the clerk in the right shoulder.

The would-be robber ran out of the store, down Ewing Drive and on to Anna Court, before disappearing into some nearby woods.

The investigation is ongoing.
