Woman Faces Dozens Of Charges After Trying To Run Down Officers: Police
A 47-year-old woman told WSMV she ran from police because of her post-traumatic stress disorder.

NASHVILLE, TN — A 47-year-old Nashville woman faces dozens of charges after police say she nearly hit them with her car during an attempted arrest. Angela Sage told WSMV, though, she suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder which is why she reacted so dramatically.
West Precinct officers tried to arrest Sage on numerous outstanding charges Tuesday afternoon at a tire store on Charlotte Pike, but as they approached her car, she put it into reverse, rammed a police cruiser and then put the car back into drive. Plainclothes officers said she accelerated, crashing through an iron gate and forcing six people, including four police officers, to jump out of the way. As she was being taken in to custody, WSMV had arrived on the scene.
"They act like I killed somebody. All I do is drive with no driver's license, and they try to stop me," Sage told the station. "Because I have post-traumatic stress syndrome, it freaks me out, you know, when they corner me...so I run."
