Woman Killed In Vehicle Collision Thursday In East Nashville Identified
Danielle Baines, 41, was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.

The woman killed in a vehicle crash Thursday at 6:50 p.m. on Stainback Avenue near Douglas Avenue in East Nashville is identified as Danielle Baines, 41, of Pennock Avenue.

Baines was driving her 2007 Kia Soul south on Stainback Avenue at a high rate of speed when, for reasons unknown, she veered left and crashed head-on into a parked, unoccupied, GMC Yukon. The impact caused the Kia to travel to the right and strike a parked, unoccupied, Toyota Camry. Baines was transported to Skyline Medical Center where she died. Her mother, Bonita Baines, 65, was the front seat passenger. She was transported to Skyline with non-life threatening injuries. Both women were wearing their seatbelts.
