Women Caught In Crossfire Critically Injured In North Nashville Shooting
A woman was critically injured when she was caught in the crossfire of a shooting while sitting on a North Nashville bus bench.

NASHVILLE, TN — A woman was critically injured late Thursday after being caught in the crossfire of a north Nashville shootout, according to police.
The woman, who is in her late 50s, was sitting on a bus bench at Dowlan Street and 26th Avenue North when shots rang out around 11:30 p.m. (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Middle Tennessee Patch morning newsletter.)
The woman was hit and is in critical condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Nashville Fire Department crews were in the area on a separate call and were able to respond and locate the woman relatively quickly.

Investigators found multiple shell casings at the scene. They believe more than one person was shooting.
