• 'The Long Road To Paris' To Highlight Local Civil War Tales (radionwtn.com) — Local historian Larry Ray of Paris is launching a free, months-long Civil War presentation series at the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center, starting August 18 with the story of Colonel Robert Caldwell and his historic mansion. Future talks will cover the Battle of Paris, Paris Landing, Fort Heiman, and more, giving residents a chance to explore local history in depth. Reservations are required by phone.
