• Shoals celebrates Portland ribbon cutting (mainstreetmediatn.com) — Shoals Technologies Group has officially opened its massive new 638,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Portland, bringing an expected 1,400 jobs and consolidating three Tennessee locations into one local campus. During the May 18 ribbon cutting, company leaders donated $20,000 to Portland’s Hands of Hope Food Pantry, underscoring a long-term commitment to the community, local families, and the region’s growing energy-manufacturing economy. 
• Portland baseball presents team awards, All-District nominees (mainstreetmediatn.com) — Portland High School baseball fans have plenty to cheer about as three Panthers earned All-District 9-AAA honors, led by Team MVP Tristan Calvert. Local standouts Calvert, Bill McGlothlin and Austin Holmes posted big offensive numbers, while several teammates received special team awards recognizing pitching, fielding, power hitting and overall improvement.
