Her parents are demanding answers as the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office continues investigating how she ended up in the vehicle’s path and why she was taken there without her mother’s knowledge.
   

• DOJ: Canadian man charged after living, voting illegally in East Tennessee for 40+ years (local3news.com) — Federal prosecutors say a Canadian man has lived in Sevierville under a stolen identity since 1984, allegedly obtaining U.S. documents and voting in multiple elections. A Knoxville grand jury indicted him on passport, identity theft, and illegal voting charges, and he’s being held in custody while awaiting a January 2027 trial that could bring significant prison time if he’s convicted.
