2. Mother warns Smyrna about speeders near school buses (mainstreetmediatn.com) — Smyrna residents raised urgent concerns about speeding drivers passing stopped school buses on Henricks Hill Drive, where police have already issued multiple tickets for 40 mph in a 15-mph zone. At the same meeting, town leaders celebrated Smyrna’s new “Best Places to Work” designation and recognized the Senior Activity Center’s growing membership and capital campaign for a larger facility on town-leased land.

3. Fishing piers replaced at Sharp Springs Park (wsmv.com) — Two fishing piers at Smyrna’s Sharp Springs Natural Area have just been replaced, improving safety and access on the catch‑and‑release ponds in the town’s largest park. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency says the roughly $4,000 project is part of its effort to enhance family-friendly fishing, with the remaining two piers still being evaluated for repair or replacement.

4. Police arrest suspect, recover cash and getaway vehicle in armored truck robbery (murfreesboro.com) — An armored truck robbery in Murfreesboro led to a police chase that headed up Northwest Broad Street toward Smyrna before officers lost sight of the suspects’ SUV.
