• Multiple people killed in Waynesboro house fire; TBI investigating (newschannel5.com) — Multiple people were killed Monday morning in a house fire on Vaughn Street in Waynesboro, and state investigators have been called in because of the number of deaths. Authorities say the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is now leading the probe, but few details have been released so far. Neighbors should expect an active investigation at the scene for some time.
   

• 3 dead, including 2 kids, in Tennessee house fire (newschannel9.com) — Three family members, including two children, died in an early-morning house fire on Vaughn Street in Waynesboro, with two others hospitalized in serious but stable condition in Nashville. Investigators are still determining the cause, while Ray's Chapel is organizing a community vigil at Waynesboro Middle School to support grieving neighbors and friends and sharing ways to help the family.
   

• Planned major natural gas pipeline coming through DeKalb (herald-citizen.com) — A major new natural gas pipeline, the Southeast Connector, is planned across Middle Tennessee and could eventually boost supply for cities including Waynesboro through their municipal utilities. While construction isn't expected to start until 2028, Kinder Morgan says the project should increase regional capacity, generate local tax revenue, and offer more opportunities for communities to tap into natural gas service.
