Big Country women launch new program to help families after sexual assault (ktxs.com) — Families in Abilene are getting a new locally driven support option after a child discloses sexual assault at home. Two Big Country women are building “Ruth’s,” a program under Truth and Roots, to guide entire families through the difficult aftermath while keeping victims protected. They’re still planning trainings and inviting residents to learn how to get involved.
