Winter Weather: Texans Celebrate Unexpected Snowfall

Flurries of snow landed across western and southern parts of the state Thursday, and Texans wasted no time enjoying the rarity

Nothing excites Texans quite like snow does. Maybe it's because winter weather is rare in most parts of the state, orr maybe it's because we Texans associate winter weather not with beautiful, fluffy snow but instead with dangerous, icy roads.

Thankfully the snow that fell Thursday across Texas isn't expected to lead to many slick roads or dangerous conditions. That means Texans had the rare chance to enjoy a carefree, and uncharacteristically early, romp in the snow — even though the accumulation was minimal in most areas.
