• Avalos P-TECH School Earns TEA Designation With Distinction (aldineisd.org) — Avalos P-TECH School in Aldine ISD has earned a coveted Texas Education Agency “Designation With Distinction,” recognizing its strong college, career, and military readiness pathways for local students. The campus plans to build on this success by expanding CTE options, boosting student supports, and maintaining the high standards that helped students earn college credit and industry certifications at no cost. 
• Aldine ISD Offers Free Half-Day PreK3 for Eligible 3-Year-Olds (aldineisd.org) — Aldine ISD is now enrolling eligible 3-year-olds for free half-day PreK3 at its 10 primary campuses for the 2026–27 school year, with morning and afternoon sessions available. Families within Aldine ISD boundaries who meet state eligibility criteria can apply online or at their zoned primary school, giving young children a play-based, language-rich start plus access to family support services.
