“This facility was done right,” Jackson said. “The design and acoustics of the center are outstanding. It is marvelous and is the epitome of fine arts for Arlington ISD.”
The concert will include a performance of Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber, Requiem for the Living by Dan Forrest and a world premiere by Elaine Hagenberg titled Illuminare. Dr. Allen Hightower will be guest conductor of the Requiem, and composer Hagenberg will be in attendance.
“People will not only remember this concert because it is the 20th anniversary of the tragedy of Sept. 11 but also for the meaning behind each musical number. It will be something the city of Arlington will be proud of,” Jackson said.
