Major Crash, Aggravated Robbery: Arlington Police Roundup

A head-on crash left one man dead and three other people injured. A robbery victim remains hospitalized after being assaulted.

ARLINGTON, TX — One person died Friday in a head-on crash that injured three other people, one seriously.

Police were called to the scene of the major crash Friday in the 2100 block of E. Park Row Drive just after 11:00 p.m.

Police said a truck was driving westbound on E. Park Row Drive. The truck crossed the center divider, veered into eastbound lanes and struck a SUV head-on. Another truck that was traveling eastbound was also damaged.

The truck's driver, an unidentified man in his mid 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An air ambulance transported the seriously injured driver of the SUV to a local hospital.

Two passengers in the other truck were taken via ambulance to a local hospital. They had non-life threatening injuries.

Police said alcohol or drugs could have been a factor in the crash. The names of those involved have not been released.


Aggravated Robbery

One man was seriously injured after three men broke into his RV and robbed him.

Police said the man's RV was parked in the 800 block of S.W. Green Oaks Boulevard on Sunday when the robbery took place just before 10:00 p.m.

According to a statement, at least two of the three robbers entered the RV and assaulted the man. Investigators believe they stole a firearm from the victim, described only as a man in his late 50s.

The man remains hospitalized and has not regained consciousness since his attack, police said.

The man's wife called 9-1-1 after receiving a phone call from her husband.

The robbers remain unidentified and at large. Police ask anyone who recognizes the suspects in the video below to call Robbery Detective Jeremy Houchin at 817-459-5301.
