Motorcyclist Dies In Afternoon Crash in Arlington

Police said the driver was thrown from the motorcycle and struck by a passing car.

ARLINGTON, TX — One man died Wednesday afternoon after being thrown off his motorcycle on Interstate 20 in Arlington, police say.

The man was seen weaving through traffic while driving westbound on the interstate, police said in a statement. The driver then lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle.

Another vehicle driving near the motorcycle struck the ejected driver, causing serious injuries.

The motorcyclist, identified only as a man in his 60s, was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.

The driver who struck the motorcyclist stopped to help and is cooperating with a police investigation, authorities said.

The motorcycle driver has not been identified. Police said speed may have played a role in the crash.

No charges are expected at this time, police said.
