New Businesses Coming To Downtown Arlington's Urban Union
Hurtado Barbecue, The Hive café, and Wild West Comics are expected to open this year.

ARLINGTON, TX -- Hurtado Barbecue, The Hive café, and Wild West Comics are expected to open in Urban Union nestled in Arlington's downtown district. Brandon Hurtado, pitmaster and founder of Hurtado Barbecue, will open in a 2,000 square-foot building featuring a farmhouse-style interior and dog-friendly patio, Urban Union said in a news release.
Heidi Allison, founder of Sugar Bee Sweets, will launch the lunch concept, The Hive, a specialty soup, salad, and sandwich shop in a 1,000 square-foot space adjacent to her current business.
Elaine Powell and son Matt Powell will open up Wild West Comics in a 2,500 square-foot space.

Urban Union is an adaptive reuse of 16 buildings, including the former Luke Honda campus along with several blocks of surrounding properties along Division Street, Front Street & East Street in Downtown Arlington, the company said in its release.
