One Arrested In Shooting Near Arlington Convenience Store

A suspect in his fifties was arrested for the murder of a man in his twenties. Neither have been identified at this time.

ARLINGTON, TX — A man was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Arlington after a shooting that killed one.

Police said in a statement investigators believe the shooting began as a fight in a convenience store in the 2100 block of E. Abram Street just before 6:31 p.m.

The victim, who was in his twenties, left the store on foot while the suspected shooter walked to his car. Police said the suspect, who is in his fifties, got a gun from his car and shot the victim as he was walking in the street.

When police arrived, the victim was found dead in the street. The suspected shooter was arrested in a nearby parking lot and taken to Arlington Municipal Jail.

Neither the suspect nor the victim have been publicly identified at this time.
