See Alleged Crook's Face When He Realizes He's On Camera

Police say the man covered the camera once he realized it was recording.

ARLINGTON, TX — A man suspected of burglarizing a home in Arlington was caught on camera — and the outcome made a lot of people laugh.

Police shared the video on Facebook in an effort to identify the suspect. Although no Facebook comments suggest he has been recognized, many poke fun at the expression the man makes when he seems to realize a camera is watching him.

The man broke into an apartment in the 2300 block of Brown Oaks Drive on the morning of June 5, police said. Once inside, he gathered electronics and other items, which he later stole.

The video shows the man perusing through the house with his head covered in a towel that, if intended to conceal his face, failed pretty miserably. Once he saw the camera, he tossed the towel over it.

A little too late.

Some Facebook users had a heyday with the video.

"I wish he'd break into my apartment," wrote one commenter named Sage Grey. "I've been paying renters insurance premiums since I moved in and daddy needs a bigger TV."

"The way he looked at the camera!" wrote another.

The man can be seen wearing a red shirt and black athletic shorts. He has one tattoo on his right forearm and another on his left bicep.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect should contact Detective Rodriguez at 817-459-5650 or email her at Jennifer.rodriguez@arlingtontx.gov.
