Fort Worth Bank Shooting: Three Injured, Three Detained
A FBI investigation of the attempted robbery is ongoing. Three people have been detained for questioning.

FORT WORTH, TX — Police in Fort Worth responded Thursday morning to a reported shooting at Veritex Bank at 2424 Merrick Street, where three women were injured by gunshots.
Authorities said the shooting stemmed from an attempted robbery. In a Thursday afternoon press conference, a spokesman for Fort Worth Police Department said three people had been detained for questioning in the robbery.
The three victims remain hospitalized but are in stable condition, police said.

Police said a SWAT sweep was conducted at a nearby house believed to have a connection to the robbery. It's not clear what that sweep turned up.
The spokesman said some police officers will remain on the scene throughout the afternoon to collect evidence.

FBI Field Agent Eric Jackson said the attempted robbery did not result in any stolen property or money.
Neither police nor the FBI commented on potential suspects in the case, but Jackson said the public need not be concerned about safety.
"We have no information right now that there is an active threat to the public," Jackson said.
