Sunday morning incident in Arlington fatal for 89-year-old man
An 89-year-old man died in Arlington after a collision between his electric bicycle and a pickup truck on Sunday morning.

Arlington - In a sorrowful incident, an 89-year-old man passed away due to the severe injuries he sustained from a dreadful collision on Sunday morning in Arlington. The accident involved his electric bicycle and a pickup truck, according to the Dallas Metro News.
Around 11:25 a.m., Arlington Police Department units were sent to the accident scene near the 6700 block of New York Avenue, close to the well-regarded Lynn Creek Trail. The emergency call described a troubling collision between a pickup truck and an electric bicycle.
On arrival, the responding officers found the elderly man unconscious on the ground. Emergency medical services were quickly summoned to rush the victim to the closest medical center.

In the wake of the deadly event, the driver of the pickup truck responded appropriately, stopping immediately and alerting the authorities by dialing 911.
