ā¢ Brookeland softball season ends with state championship appearance (beaumontenterprise.com) ā Avery softball fans will recognize their team among Brookelandās playoff victories on the way to a tight 6-5 loss to Jonesboro in the Class 1A state title game. Brookeland finished 17-4 after building an early lead in Austin before Jonesboro rallied late to repeat as champion.
