County officials say the development itself is still moving through permitting, even as multiple other data center proposals compete for the same area.

• Submit Applications for Black Fund of Central Texas Grants 2026 (fundsforngos.org) — Black-led nonprofits serving Bastrop County can now apply for Black Fund of Central Texas grants ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 before the September 10, 2026 deadline. The program will distribute $250,000 across 20 organizations and also offers capacity-building support to applicants that are not selected, as long as they meet the regional and tax-status requirements.
