Three women veterans and award-winning children’s book authors will join forces for their first-ever Aviation Author Trio appearance at the 42nd CAF Wings Over Houston Airshow, October 31–November 1, 2026.
Graciela Tiscareño-Sato (“Captain Mamá”), Sarah Doran, and Patricia Osborn will bring aviation, military service, STEM, history, and storytelling together for families in the airshow’s Family Chalet.
The airshow will take place from 08:00 to 5:00 p.m.&nbsp;on Oct. 31–Nov. 1.&nbsp;&nbsp; <a href="https://wingsoverhouston.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://wingsoverhouston.com/</a>
This year's event is significant as the CAF Wings Over Houston Airshow celebrates America's 250th birthday and welcomes the world-famous U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds as the featured demonstration team. Families from across Texas and beyond will experience thrilling aerial performances while discovering aviation careers, military service opportunities, &amp; STEM education through the interactive exhibit in the Family Chalet.
<h2>WHO</h2>
Graciela is the&nbsp;daughter of Mexican immigrants who became an Air Force aviator. She's the&nbsp;first Latina aviator in the U.S. Air Force to receive an Air Medal for combat air operations. She's an award-winning author, entrepreneur, keynote speaker, and creator of the nationally-recognized Captain Mamá bilingual children's aviation book series. Graciela brings aviation history, STEM education, military service, and bilingual storytelling together to encourage girls and boys to pursue careers in aviation, leadership, public service and entrepreneurship. Each book includes military history, educational resources, and a STEM activity, making Sarah’s stories useful for families and classrooms throughout the year, including Veterans Day, Women’s History Month, Month of the Military Child, and Memorial Day.
