• Brazoria County deputy shoots, kills Texas State University student after car chase, report says (tspantx.com) — A Brazoria County sheriff’s deputy shot an 18-year-old Texas State University student after a brief car chase that ended in a Lake Jackson neighborhood, and the student later died at the hospital. The deputy is on administrative leave while Texas Rangers investigate, and both Brazoria County authorities and Lake Jackson police have not yet released further details.
