Cedar Park Police Charge Man In HEB Parking Lot Carjacking
Brandon Anthony Hovey, 34, charged with robbery in July 7 incident at 2800 E. Whitestone Blvd. during which family was forced to exit car.

CEDAR PARK, TX — Police have formally charged a man with robbery in connection to a carjacking incident at an HEB parking lot last month, officials said Tuesday.
Brandon Anthony Hovey, 34, was charged with robbery following the July 7 incident at 2800 E. Whitestone Blvd. during which a family inside a vehicle was confronted with demands to exit the vehicle. The suspect then fled before the patriarch of the family exited the grocery store to rejoin his loved ones in the SUV.
According to a press advisory, police didn't need to look far in locating Hovey as he had already been booked into Travis County Jail on an unrelated charge. A Cedar Park police spokeswoman referred media to Travis County law enforcement to secure a booking photo, which Patch has requested.
