Coronavirus: Williamson County Illness Count Grows To 27

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The number of cases of new coronvirus in Williamson County grew to 27 on Thursday — five more than the level recorded the previous day.

The upgraded totals are as of 10 a.m. on Thursday, health officials noted. The Williamson County and Cities Health District (WCCHD) broke down the cases in terms of cities where patients being monitored locally reside, and data on the cities with greatest illness concentration:

• Austin: 4 cases, representing 15 percent of the total.
• Cedar Park: 6, representing 22 percent of the total.
• Georgetown: 6 cases, 22 percent.
• Hutto: None.
• Leander: 4 cases, 15 percent.
• Round Rock: 7, 26 percent.
• Other WilCo cities: 1, 0 percent statistically. Other cities in Williamson County are Liberty Hill, Jarrell, Taylor and unincorporated areas.

• Of the total number of patients, 10 are male and 17 are female, representing 37 percent and 63 percent of the total, respectively.

Age groups

• 0-17 years of age: 1, 4 percent
• 18-40: 9, 33 percent.
• 41-60: 10, 37 percent.
• Over 60: 7, 26 percent.

Patient status

• Hospitalized: 5 patients, 19 percent.
• ICU: 2, 2.7 percent.
• Deaths: 0, 0 percent.
• Recovered: 4, 15 percent.
