Investigation Into Coach's Alleged Improper Relationship Continues
Former Vandergrift HS coach placed on administrative leave.

LEANDER, TX -- Law enforcement officials continue their investigation of a local high school coach amid recent allegations of an improper relationship with a student, but no arrest has been made in the case.
Sgt. Daniel Johnson at the office of Texas Constable Precinct 2 said Friday that law enforcement officials continue to investigate claims alleging former Vandergrift High School coach Je’ron Curtis of Killeen had an improper relationship with a student from another school. Johnson has not been formally charged with any offense, but a school spokeswoman confirmed he has been placed on administrative leave.
The spokeswoman declined further comment, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation. School officials have told media outlets that Curtis previously worked as a professor at Austin High School and communication applications professor and later coached football and basketball teams at Vendergrift High School five years ago.
