Leander Man Accused Of Ramming 2 Cars In Argument Over Woman

Ryan Madden, 33, was asked to leave man's home after victim found him with his girlfriend and that's when things got out of hand.

CEDAR PARK, TX — A Leander man is accused of ramming his vehicle several times into two other cars over the weekend in what began as an argument over another man's girlfriend, according to a published report.

The incident on Sunday occurred in Cedar Park, as the Austin American-Statesman reported. The argument is said to have been sparked when one of the victims arrived home to find his girlfriend with Ryan Madden, 33, of Leander inside an RV parked next to the victim's house along the 200 block of South Mustang Avenue, according to an affidavit referenced by the newspaper.

The man asked Madden to leave before exiting his home and driving off when he noticed Madden approaching him in his Chevrolet Suburban a block away, according to the report. The victim stopped the car, again asking Madden to leave but the latter is said to have parked his vehicle in front of the victim's car to prevent him from driving off again, according to affidavit details.

Then, Madden allegedly backed up and rammed into the victim's pickup truck twice while the man was inside his vehicle, police said. That's when the victim's brother joined the fray in defense of his sibling, only to be rammed by Madden as he tried recording his license plate number.

Madden has since been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Williamson County Jail records. The charge is a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
