Leander Road Rage Stemming From Tailgating Lands Round Rock Man In Jail
Bryan Chadwick Mask, 44, is said to have pointed a gun at a couple asking him to stop tailgating before cops find his weapon and meth.

LEANDER, TX — A driver in the throes of road rage was arrested by police after allegedly threatening a couple with a gun during a dispute related to tailgating, according to a published report.
After police intervened in the disagreement, Bryan Chadwick Mask, 44, of Round Rock was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a controlled substance, both second-degree felonies.
The incident happened last Friday, but details have only recently emerged via an arrest affidavit. A woman told police she and her husband were driving along Nameless Road near the FM 1431 intersection when a man in a black Chevy pickup with a trailer attached to a hitch started to tailgate them, the Austin American-Statesman reported.

Words were exchanged and a pistol was drawn when the other driver asked Mask to stop tailgating the couple at a red traffic light stop. The woman then called police just before 1:30 p.m. Police located Mask a short time later, and spotted a semi-automatic pistol inside the vehicle along with 7.6 grams of meth, according to the affidavit-citing report.
In the end, Mask found his day ruined over a squabble. He was booked into the Williamson County Jail before posting $55,000 bail, and now faces up to 20 years on the charges.
