4 Arrested In Retail Theft Ring In Texas City

Supects could be part of a larger state-wide theft ring: Cops

TEXAS CITY, TX — Police in Texas City arrested four shoplifting suspects late last month who may be involved in a larger retail theft ring.

Police arrested Cristina Isabel Rios, 19, Michael Patrick Garcia, 23, Edward Palomino, 24, and Miguel Hernandez-Andablo, 31, were arrested July 23 at the Tanger Outlet Mall and charged with organized retail theft.

Law enforcement officers found more than $1,700 in merchandise that had been stolen just from one store, the Houston Chronicle reported.

All four were taken to the Galveston County Jail for processing.

Rios bond was set at $20,000, and Garcia, Palomino and Hernandez-Andablo each had bail set at $60,000.
