7 Arrested In Galveston On Narcotics, Animal Cruelty Charges
See Something, Say Something: Galveston Police Chief Vernon Hale credited observant residents for alerting police.

GLAVESTON, TX — Seven people face a litany of charges ranging from animal cruelty to possesson and manufacturing a controlled substance.
The seven were arrested Wednesday in the 100 block of Marlin, 100 block of 45th, and the 3800 block of R ½ after investigators were alerted to suspecious activity at those locations.

Those arrested by the Galveston Police Department included:
- Richard Scott Osbourne
- Maria Renee Herrera
- Tatum Michelle Frey
- Jennifer Estes Jones
- Robert Anthony Henson
- John Paul Porretto
- Rodney Dale Moore
According to a KPRC report, Porretto was on parole at the time of his arrest, and his parole was revoked.

Officials said everyone else was charged with posession of a controlled substance, with one charged with cruelty to animals.
Investigators also seized three dangerous dogs from one of the homes, according to a press release.
Galveston Police Chief Vernon Hale credited observant residents for alerting police.
“This type of citizen involvement and intelligence is what will make Galveston a safer place for those who call the Island home,” he said.
