Alvin High School Teacher Accused Of Child Indecency
Teacher is also a reserve unpaid police officer with Hilcrest Village Police, and is also a scuba instructor.

ALVIN, TX -- An Alvin High School teacher is facing charges of indecency with a child under the age of 14, after he was accused of engaging in sexual contact with a child on more than one occasion.
David Eugene Romano, 50, who teaches culinary arts at Alvin High School, is also a reserve unpaid police officer for Hilcrest Village Police Department and a Scuba Instructor at Dave's Scuba Adventures in Alvin.
He has been placed on administrative leave by Alvin ISD.

Officials with the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office said they received information on Jan. 20 accusing Romano of having sexual contact with a child under the age of 14 on more than one occasion.
Investigators said the incident didn’t involve an Alvin High School student.

Romano was arrested on Monday and is in the Brazoria County Jail.
His bond is set at $100,000.
