Bay Area Animal Shelters Pairing People And Pets This Weekend

CLEAR LAKE, TX — Are you a dog or cat lover? Are you ready to bring a new pet into your home? If the thought of a wagging tail at the end of the day makes you smile, then you can make a difference this weekend and give a new pet a home.

Animal shelters throughout the Greater Houston area are participating in the annual Clear the Shelters event on Saturday to find forever homes for dogs and cats nationwide.

In the Houston area alone, the number of stray cats and dogs is impossible to count with many of those animals lost or abandoned in rural areas of Harris County.

As a result, animal shelters in the Houston area will host pet adoption events in the Houston area.
