Dealer Got Meth Mouth? He's Probably Not 5-0, Texas Cops Say
Bay City police warned meth buyers to stay away from dealers with good teeth in a tongue-and-cheek Facebook post.

BAY CITY, TX — It never hurts to have a sense of humor, and that is especially true of you are in law enforcement.
Last week, officials with the Bay City Police Department took a swipe at the drug trade in the small coastal city, reminding would-be criminals that: “If your crystal meth dealer has all their teeth, they’re the cops.”
It's likely that no truer statement was ever made, even in jest, when it comes to the effects of methamphetamine on the mouth.

While the disclaimer is humorous, there’s also a morsel of truth, according to a Houston Chronicle report.
Methamphetamine use for any amount of time could result in stroke or permanent brain damage, but it also results in a condition commonly known as meth mouth.

According to the American Medical Association and mouthhealthty.org, meth mouth is an unsightly condition caused by methamphetamine use that results in teeth literally rotting and decaying in the mouth of a meth user in a relatively short amount of time.
