Body Of Missing Fisherman At San Luis Pass Is Found

SAN LUIS PASS, TX — The body of a missing fisherman who was pulled underwater while he and a friend were fishing at the San Luis Pass Bridge on Friday, has been recovered.

Jacob Szydlowsk, 19, and and a 17-year old man were fishing near the San Luis Pass Bridge in chest-deep water, when both men were pulled underwater by a strong undertow.

On Saturday night a fisherman found Szydlowski’s body, and brought the man’s body to the boat ramp on Christmas Bay, KPRC reported.

Coast Guard Crews along with Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Brazoria County Sheriff’s searched for Szydlowsk using helicopters, boats and foot patrols along the shoreline.

The Coast Guard suspected the search Saturday morning.
