La Marque Man's Body Found Near Brazos River
Roy Ornelas was reported missing on his birthday, and now homicide investigators believe the La Marque man was murdered.

LAKE JACKSON, TX -- The body of a man found near the Brazos River is believed to be that of a man reported missing on Monday.
The body, which was discovered late Tuesday in a wooded area of FM 2004 in Lake Jackson, was later identified as Roy Ornelas, 22, officials said.
Police have not indicated how Ornelas may have died, but foul play is suspected in this case.(Sign up for Patch’s daily newsletter for your neighborhood.)

Ornelas was living with his girlfriend, who is also missing.
Family members told investigators that no one had spoken with Ornelas since Sunday and that he planned to go to a nearby shooting range with a friend.

The Lake Jackson and La Marque Police are working together on this case.
No arrests have been made.
