Carjacking Suspect Caught After Pursuit Ends In 2-Car Crash: Cops

South Houston Police arrested a carjacking suspect after he crashed into two vehicles on Dixie Farm Road during a police chase on Friday.

HOUSTON, TX — A high-speed chase that started in southeast Houston Friday morning ended in a horrific crash with two vehicles near Clear Lake, according to reports. Police said the chase began after they spotted the a man driving a silver car that was stolen during a car jacking nearby.

The chase began in southeast Houston at about 9 a.m. with South Houston Police units chasing the silver sedan on to Dixie Farm Road. The high-speed chase ended when the silver sedan blew through a red light and hit a Cadillac sedan passing through the intersection of Dixie Farm Road and State Highway 3, according to various media reports.

The silver sedan then crashed into the front of a dark minivan sitting at a traffic signal on State Highway 3. Police dragged the suspect from the silver car and was taken to one of the waiting patrol units.

Officials have not said if anyone in any of the other vehicle were injured in the crash.
