Clear Lake Family Rescued By Family Dog From House Fire

Pooch began barking in the middle of the night and alerted family to fire, helping them escape to safety.

CLEAR LAKE, TX -- A family dog is being hailed a hero after the pooch woke the family after their house caught fire.

The homeowner said their dog began barking, and woke the family who were all able to escape the home safely.

Investigators believe the fire started in the garage and spread into the attic.

Investigators have not said if the home was equipped with fire alarms.
