Clear Lake Woman Arrested With $200K In Meth Had Kids In The Car

A K9 cop is credited with finding $200,000 in methamphetamine packed in Tupperware containers in a woman's car.

CLEAR LAKE, TX — A Clear Lake woman was arrested in front of her three children after she was found transporting more than $200,000 in methamphetamine, police said. The arrest happened during a traffic stop in Clear Lake earlier this month, according to a press release.

Police said during the traffic stop, the deputy’s K9 partner Storm detected the presence of narcotics inside the car. Deputies searched the car and found packets of methamphetamine packed in Tupperware containers inside the car, police said.

The woman was arrested and charged on federal charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. The three children in the car were taken into the custody of child protective services.
