Galveston County Deputy Arrested, Accused Of Assaulting Girlfriend
Fred Boas is charged with assault bodily injury family violence after a fight with his girlfriend.

GALVESTON, TX — A Galveston County Sheriff’s Deputy was arrested after his girlfriend accused him of assaulting her.
Police arrested 32-year old Fred Boas on Tuesday and charged him with assault causing bodily injury - family violence.
Officials said Boas and his 22-year old girlfriend got into an argument at his apartment in the 200 block of Market St. on Aug. 19.

During the argument, police said Boas pushed his girlfriend, causing her to fall and hit her head, the Housotn Chronicle reported.
The woman claimed Boas grabbed her by her wrists, which caused bruising, police said.

The woman left his apartment and reported the incident at the Galveston County Justice Center.
The woman played a recording for police, that had Boas allegedly apologizing for the assault, KPRC reported.
Police went to Boas' apartment and arrested him.
He was taken to the Galveston County Jail and his bond at $7,500.
