Galveston County Officials Find Body Of Missing Woman
Body is believed to be that of Brandy Mosley, who was swept out to sea while trying to rescue her 4-year old son.

GALVESTON, TX — A body matching the description of a woman who was swept out to sea while trying to save her 4-year old son, has been found officials said.
A body matching the description of 33-year old Brandy Mosley was found Tuesday morning by Galveston County Sheriff’s deputies, about three miles from where she disappeared. Witnesses said Mosley was at Crystal Beach Monday afternoon watching her son play at the edge of the shoreline, when a wave knocked the child over, and he began to lose his footing, KTRK reported.

Mosley ran in to grab her son, and was handing him to a family member and when they turned around, she was gone, KPRC reported.
U.S. Coast Guard officials searched through the night for Mosley, hoping to find her alive and well.

A tattoo investigators found on the body of the woman indicates that the woman is Mosley, but officials said they will need to confirm her identity through the medical examiner’s office.
