Galveston Police Investigate Shooting Death of Man Found in Street

Police search for clues that left 37-year old Christopher Williams dead

GALVESTON, TX -- Police are searching for clues in the shooting death of a 37-year old man early Monday morning.

The shooting was reported to the Galveston Police Department at about 2:10 a.m.

Police officers were sent to the 4000 block of Avenue G, where they found a man, identified as Christopher Williams, lying in the street next to a vehicle.

Williams, suffering from a gunshot wound, was rushed to John Sealy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Galveston Police Department is asking anyone with information about the case to contact the GPD at 409-765-3770 or Galveston Crimestoppers at 409-763-8477.
